India Pays United Tribute to CRPF on 88th Raising Day, Honoring Courage and Sacrifice
India marked the CRPF's 88th Raising Day on July 27 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Mallikarjun Kharge paid tribute to the force's courage, service, and the sacrifices of more than 2,270 personnel.
Leaders from across the political spectrum honored the force for its service and dedication. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the CRPF's unwavering courage in combating Maoism and its role in disaster relief operations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to the personnel, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Opposition leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge, joined the nationwide tributes, recognizing the CRPF's resilience and commitment in carrying out counter-insurgency operations, conducting election duties, and performing several other critical responsibilities.
The observance also remembered the sacrifices made by the force throughout its history, with more than 2,270 personnel having laid down their lives in service. The 88th Raising Day highlighted the CRPF's enduring contribution to national security and public service, drawing unified recognition from leaders across the country.
